Chess pieces ready
Aarón Anselmino has apparently agreed to join Olympique Marseille on loan for the rest of the season, but whether he actually gets to go remains to be seen and will depend on how the next couple days shake out for Chelsea.
According to Fabrizio Romano, we are keeping our various loan options open, especially with regards to the six total international loan slots, even if only half of them are currently filled. Caleb Wiley, David Datro Fofana, and Anselmino himself have had their loans ended this month, leaving only Andrey Santos and Đorđe Petrović, both at RC Strasbourg, and Renato Veiga, who recently joined Juventus.
I guess it's sensible to do that, though it's not clear if Anselmino has a work permit so his choices may be limited to international loan ... or international loan. Atalanta and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked in last 24 hours.
Let's just hope we don't leave these things too late. We'd never do that, right?
