WINNER WINNER CONFERENCE FREEZE DINNER

It was all Chelsea from the opening whistle, and it didn't take long to find the breakthrough: Marc Guiu running around his defender with ease and finishing from close range.

Chelsea were generating chances at will, and the second goal swiftly arrived as Guiu bundled in at the near post from a Pedro Neto cross. It might eventually go down as an own goal, but the striker did well to force the situation.

Renato Veiga then made it three in our favor with an open header on a corner, though that caused us to relax a bit and let the home side into the game in the final few minutes of the half — leading to a lovely goal from their captain that kissed off the inside of the far post.

The second half was a bit of a non-event; both sides could've scored, neither did.

Carefree.

  • Ten changes from the weekend, with only Pedro Neto keeping his spot (since he's suspended for our next league game)
  • Full debut for Rak-Sakyi; debuts also for Ampah, Mheuka, and Dyer
  • Welcome back, Harvey Vale!
  • The win guarantees Chelsea a top-eight finish and a spot in the Round of 16 (skip the playoff round)
  • Next up: Brentford at home on SundayZZ
  • KTBFFH
