Caicedo 'frustrated' by Arsenal defeat

Targeting Champions League football
No player in Chelsea Blue came out of Sunday's game at the Emirates with much credit, but Moisés Caicedo was among the least-worst offenders. That's well in line with his consistent and steadily improving performances throughout this season, which have made him not only one of our key players and first names on the team sheet, but one of the favorites in our Player of the Season conversations.
Given the sorts of effort he puts in week in and week out, it might be particularly frustrating to see other parts of the team not reach those same levels. Obviously, it's all-for-one and one-for-all when it comes to the team's success, but Sunday's defeat left a bitter taste in the 23-year-old midfielder's mouth.
"It was a tough game. The first 20 minutes they were better, and it's frustrating because I felt we dominated the game after that. We were better than them, but we needed to score goals to win the game."
Goals win games, as they say.
Despite the defeat, Chelsea remain fourth and still on course for Champions League qualification at the end of the season. But our remaining schedule also remains very though, and there's a whole pile of teams just behind us at the moment, who also want to be in Europe's top competition.
This is not going to be easy, to say the least.
"Every game is a fight for me. It doesn't matter if it's a derby. We showed good character [and] everyone is working hard to win the games. [...] Believing on the pitch, showing our character and our work rate will for sure help us win games."
"For sure we want to play in the Champions League next season and things are close, but we are focused on ourselves because that's the most important thing. We are working hard to try and win every game and get there to play in the Champions League – that's the target."
