Chelsea 'eyeing' Dušan Vlahović like it's 2021 — report

LOL
Chelsea and Juventus are supposedly talking over a potential Renato Veiga transfer, but of course we never just do a one-and-done, so we're taking a quick browse around the shop, just a quick browse we promise, just to see if something silly, unnecessary, or just simply plain expensive catches our eye.
Oh hey, Dušan Vlahović!
Back in 2021, Vlahović was on absolute fire, scoring 20 times in 24 games to start the season with Fiorentina. Then in January of that season, exactly on his 22nd birthday, he leveraged that into a massive €70+10m move to Juventus.
They've been trying to offload him (and his wages) ever since: he's averaged less than a goal every two games (53 in 124 in all competitions).
Chelsea were linked briefly in 2023 during one of our many attempts to offload our own striker albatross in Romelu Lukaku, but now apparently we're "eyeing" him as a replacement for Christopher Nkunku. Or at least that's what The Times are claiming.
Of course, Nkunku really doesn't look to be leaving this month (and certainly not for £65m) — though perhaps notably he went an unused substitute last night, a rarity for him this season — but even if he were, it's hard to see how Vlahović fits into the overall scheme. He's about to turn 25 and his wages surely don't fit into our new structure. We could probably use the hypothetical Nkunku money on him, but beyond that, this seems little more than idle agent chatter.
