Idle chatter

Stefanos Tzimas is barely among the top ten goalscorers in the second Bundesliga, playing for midtable club 1.FC Nürnberg, but somehow he's the talk of rumor-town with seemingly half the Premier League and the (first) Bundesliga linked for a summer move.

The links to Liverpool appear to be the strongest at the moment (if the YouTube compilation thumbnails are any indication), but Chelsea's name has been thrown in there as well, and BILD (via Sport Witness) even claim that we are "trying particularly hard" to sign the 19-year-old Greece U21 international striker.

Tzimas is on loan at 1.FC Nürnberg from PAOK and the 2.Bundesliga side have an €18m option to make the move permanent. Their plan apparently is to activate that clause at the end of the season, and then immediately move him on, at a €7m instant profit. BILD's mad scientists have calculated that Chelsea have a "45 per cent chance" of getting the striker.

Not exactly an instant solution to our finishing woes, even if true, but that's how BlueCo roll.
