Sporting Club de Portugal are expecting to receive €75m+ from the deal selling Geovany Quenda to Chelsea.

That's according to A Bola, who report that the Portuguese side are hoping to break the transfer record with the youngster.

They explain that the deal with Chelsea for Quenda is worth €51m fixed but includes €50m in potential bonuses. The hope is that the €100m figure in his release clause can be reached via this method.

That would make him Sporting's biggest sale of all time, despite the initial values being lower than what they had first expected or hoped for from the highly rated youngster’s departure.

Not all of the bonuses will be related to Quenda's performances but also Chelsea's performances, and €25m of the €50m is considered 'easily achievable' by Sporting.

Thus, the Portuguese side believe they will make at least €75m+ from the sale, enough to break the record set by Bruno Fernandes' €65m move to Manchester United.

Quenda will spend the rest of this season and then next season at Sporting before heading to Chelsea in 2026 but on his new, improved Stamford Bridge salary after the deal went ahead this week.
