Cucurella nominated for Premier League Goal of the Month award

Marc Cucurella is not exactly known for his goalscoring prowess, though he is having himself a bit of a season, including with five goals to his name already (four in the Premier League). Not quite Marcos Alonso-levels, but his previous best for one season was three, with Getafe, and he had scored just once in his first two seasons at Chelsea.

But this is the Season of Cucu, and his latest strike has even earned him a nomination for the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for March! He is one of eight nominees for the award, alongside more likely goalscorers like Omar Marmoush or Bruno Fernandes.

Cole Palmer (August) and Nicolas Jackson (October) have already won this award earlier this year for Chelsea. If you'd like to see Cucurella win it next, be sure to vote here before Monday.

Cucurella has been busy during the break, too, with 210 minutes to his name for Spain, but Chelsea are off this weekend, with our next match only on Thursday, against Spurs. So he should be well recovered in time for that, to keep putting his name in contention for our Player of the Season.
