Latest international duty dropout

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen has become our latest player to drop out of international duty this break, having been withdrawn from the Denmark under-21 squad.

The move has been confirmed by both the national team and Chelsea, with the former lumping him in with five others leaving training camp with "illness or injury", but without going into any further specifics regarding his situation. The Chelsea official website also doesn't give a reason or motivation for the decision.

Jörgensen came back from the last international break with a concussion that forced him to miss one game, but he was back between the sticks as usual for our League Cup and Conference League matches right after. Overall, the 22-year-old has started seven games, five in Europe and two in the domestic cups, keeping three clean sheets. His performances have been pretty good but far from flawless, and he's not managed to unseat Robert Sánchez as the first-choice goalkeeper ... yet.
