"He had everything" – Chelsea star shares who his favourite Blue was growing up

Christopher Nkunku has revealed that the great Eden Hazard was his favourite Chelsea player growing up, and said the Belgian had everything.

Nkunku joined the Blues last summer from RB Leipzig in deal worth £52m, but his first season at Stamford Bridge was plagued by injury and he was limited to just 14 appearances in all competitions.

The 26-year-old, who is currently in America on the club's pre-season tour scored in the opening game against Wrexham and will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday against Celtic.

Nkunku impressed last year in pre-season and it appeared he would contribute in a big way, only to suffer a knee injury in the final game against Borussia Dortmund which would rule him out for four months.

The France international had to wait until December to make his debut and he scored in the 2-1 defeat to Wolves, but he would only find the back of the net on three occasions last season.

Nkunku revealed that Hazard was his favourite Chelsea player growing up.

The forward was deployed as an attacking number eight against Wrexham and Enzo Maresca has admitted he can play anywhere.

Chelsea have been blessed with so many incredible attacking players over the years and Nkunku has all the ability to emulate some of those.

Speaking exclusively to Chelsea's official app he revealed that his favourite Blue growing up was none other than club legend Hazard.

"I would say Eden Hazard. He had everything. He could dribble, he could score, he could assist, he was the most dangerous player you could have on the field. And you knew he was the most dangerous player on the pitch."

Nkunku and everyone associated with the club will be hoping his injury issues are firmly behind him as the Frenchman is set for a key role under Maresca and will likely be a big part of any Chelsea success.
