Simon Jordan has labelled KSI an ‘uncouth little turd’ over the vicious verbal attack he directed at Wayne Bridge ahead of the boxing match they had planned – which has since been abandoned.

Fifteen months on from his controversial defeat to Tommy Fury, KSI agreed to fight ex-England footballer Bridge and the pair faced off in the ring at last weekend’s star-studded Misfits Boxing 20 event in Manchester.

The atmosphere quickly turned nasty as the widely popular YouTuber-turned-rapper launched into a foul-mouthed tirade, bringing up the topic of Bridge’s ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel, and her alleged affair with John Terry.

Bridge and Terry had been team-mates at both club and international level during their playing days and Perroncel’s supposed involvement with the former Chelsea captain was headline news in 2010.

Perroncel denies having an affair to this day but Bridge refused to shake Terry's hand when the pair later came face to face midway through the 2009/10 Premier League season.

On Monday, Bridge announced that he had decided to pull out of the March 29 bout as a result of KSI’s ‘deeply personal’ remarks – and Darren Till has since put his name forward as a possible replacement.

‘When I saw the clip I thought, “Wayne, you must’ve expected that!”, you’re like Trigger out of Only Fools and Horses, you’re a bit gormless. And then I looked into it more and I think it’s so unedifying,’ former Crystal Palace chairman and media personalty said of the exchange on talkSPORT.

‘Listen, it’s public domain stuff and this is not professional boxing, this is Misfits. We have to give it the qualification, but I do think it was an undignified, unedifying, unnecessary outburst.

‘We do see people say unpalatable things to sell fights. We’ve seen Deontay Wilder say that he wants to have a body on his record, we heard Mike Tyson turn around and say he wants to eat Lennox Lewis’ children and things of that nature so we know these people can say stupid things.

‘But I think that Wayne Bridge’s statement, if he himself has drafted it, is a very balanced, fair and mature statement and basically a message to this individual. What a way to behave, what a thing to have said.

According to Jordan, KSI made himself ‘look like a fool’ and an ‘uncouth little turd’ with his ‘unedifying’ barbs directed at Bridge.

He added: ‘Wayne Bridge is known for a lot more than the antics of his personal life or the circumstances he found himself involved in.

‘He was an England international footballer and played for top clubs so he’s achieved things in sport that this little twerp has yet to do.

‘The fact he [Bridge] put himself in the way of it, the fact he knew he was going into a ring and knew that something was going to be said, he makes himself on offer for that. I would imagine he was surprised by it.

‘I think it makes the KSI kid look like a fool, I think he looks like an uncouth little turd.

‘The fact of the matter is: a lot of the audience wouldn’t have known what he was talking about because his audience are 12-year-old kids and they really wouldn’t know what happened 14 years ago. But notwithstanding that, I think it was deeply unpleasant and unnecessary.’

Jordan believes it is a ‘tragedy’ that KSI will have attracted extra attention and ‘notoriety’ as a result of his attack on Bridge.

‘It’s a little bit over the line,’ he went on.

‘If you want to say, “You were a bang average footballer, you were way out of your depth, you’re wearing a lumberjack jacket, you’ve got no class and you’re gonna get your backside handed to you”, that’s fine. You can get all that.

‘But what he said is crass and it’s unpleasant and it’s uncouth.

‘The tragedy of this is that it will have gained huge notoriety, it will have gone viral and our little friend on YouTube will have made a lot of money out of it.’
