Decisions

Chelsea had accepted an offer from Torino for Cesare Casadei earlier this week, but the mini-saga of the 22-year-old midfielder's future is far from over yet.

Yesterday, Lazio have also submitted a formal bid, reportedly €13m with a sell-on clause. While not explicitly mentioned, the offer essentially matches Torino's. Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea will now decide Casadei's next club, though it's much more likely that Casadei himself will do that given that the reported offers from the two Serie A sides are just about equal, give or take some pocket change.

Romano's earlier reporting mentioned that Feyenoord and an unnamed Premier League club are also still in the "race" for Casadei, so it's possible that another offer or two could come in for him.

Either way, we will be taking a small net-loss, though it's the sell-on clause that's the key part of this deal as far as BlueCo are concerned.
