Nostalgia hit

A few lesser-spotted Chelsea Legends are set to be among the participants in today's charity match against Liverpool at Anfield, with proceeds directly benefiting the Chelsea Foundation and the LFC Foundation.

Kick-off is at 15.00 local time (11am EDT) and the match will be available as pay-per-view on Chelsea TV, with 100 per cent of the £5.99 purchase price going to the Chelsea Foundation.

Gianfranco Zola, Roberto Di Matteo (coaching), and Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink are frequently involved in such games, but this time we should also be getting appearances from the likes of Mikel John Obi, Florent Malouda, and even Ramires, who clearly doesn't do nearly as much running as he used to! Claude Makélélé, William Gallas, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Katie Chapman, and goalkeepers Carlo Cudicini and Rob Green are the other confirmed participants on our end.

For Liverpool, the likes of Peter Crouch, Dirk Kuyt, Sami Hyypia, and Jerzy Dudek should be involved — names we should remember from many classic showdowns from the past couple decades. Nostalgia is a helluva drug!
