Awww

Mathys Tel may have changed his mind and may now be looking to leave Bayern before the end of the transfer window on Friday, but unfortunately it sounds like Chelsea are not exactly high on his list of potential destinations.

According to a report from Bild, the 19-year-old striker is looking for guaranteed minutes, and he doesn't think that would be possible at Chelsea, where "the competition [...] is just as big as in Munich".

That may be a rather generous assessment of our attacking options, but the fact does remain that we do have numerous attacking options, even with the (impending) suspension of Mykhailo Mudryk and even with our potential attempts to offload a few others. So other suitors from the Premier League, Bundesliga, or Ligue 1 might look more enticing for a youngster tired of sitting on the bench.

Bild's report also makes it sound like Tel's really only interested in a temporary loan move for the rest of this season, not a permanent departure from Bayern, which would then make any deal with Chelsea much less likely as well (given our insistence to have Christopher Nkunku move the other way).

Oh well; next!
