Official confirms player training with Chelsea will return to club on Saturday – Talks held with agent

Kendry Páez will turn 18 years of age in May and will move to Chelsea in the summer. The Blues have already secured an agreement with Independiente del Valle for his transfer in June 2023.

On February 18th, Independiente del Valle sporting director Luis Fernando Saritama said Chelsea have requested he join them early so that he can complete his adaptation.

Later that month, their commercial manager, Andrés Larriva, explained, the 17-year-old has been training at Chelsea. He also stated it’s difficult for him to play for the Ecuadorian club again.

Ecuavisa now provide the latest around the player currently training at the west London club. Independiente del Valle director Santiago Morales has been speaking to radio station Mundo Deportivo about the incoming Chelse player.

He confirms the Ecudor international will return to training with Independiente del Valle on Saturday. The official also reveals to have held talks with the youngster’s representatives.

“I haven’t spoken directly with him. I’ve been in contact with his agency. We know he’ll arrive in the country on Saturday to join training,” he said.

“[Kendry Páez] will have another internship, but we don’t know yet how it will work. We’ll have to wait and review the regulations to avoid making mistakes.”

The South American isn’t eligible to represent Chelsea until he turns 18 years of age but has been training with them since the start of this year. He’ll now return to his country to train with Independiente del Valle.
