One foot in, one foot out – Transfer dance continues for Chelsea man as Saudi offer waits

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is yet to define his future at Stamford Bridge or Real Madrid as the latter are yet to make a decision on him.

That's according to Marca, who say the prospect of a return to the Spanish giants remains on the table despite him being sent back to Chelsea following his loan spell last season.

The newspaper explains that Real Madrid are very calm about their goalkeeper situation as they have Thibaut Courtois and a year on Andriy Lunin's contract too.

There is a chance the latter could depart, though, and if that happens, it opens up the possibility of Kepa returning from Chelsea.

The Spanish goalkeeper is aware of this possibility and so is currently holding an offer from Saudi Arabia at arm's length.

That has come from Al Ittihad and would be 'difficult to reject' but the Chelsea man has asked for extra time to consider his options before making a decision.

He wants to see if there's a definitive movement from Lunin, who has yet to accept a new contract at the Santiago Bernabeu. If he doesn't, the Ukrainian could be sold and thus pave the way for Kepa to return.

Real Madrid would certainly welcome that as he left a positive impression during his loan spell and has received praise from the likes of Dani Carvajal publically. Carlo Ancelotti would also be happy to see him return.

There's no obstacles in the way from Chelsea either, with them 'working to facilitate' the goalkeeper's departure this summer.

It all rests on Lunin and what he does, leaving Kepa dancing in and out until he makes a decision either way on his own future.
