Here we go?
After a few rounds of negotiations, and some cursory interest from other Serie A teams, Chelsea and Torino seem to have struck an agreement over the broad financial terms of a possible Cesare Casadei transfer.
The move is not yet finalized and it would appear that Casadei has not yet agreed personal terms either, but he's expected to do so in short order.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the final details are set to be ironed out tomorrow (Tuesday), but the deal — not a loan! — will go through at around €10-12m, with a "very high" sell-on percentage. It's that latter bit that probably sealed the deal for us since we're taking a slight loss in net fees. Chelsea had paid €15+5m to Inter Milan back in 2022 for the midfielder's signature.
Casadei had impressed in the reserves and had a decent half-season on loan at Enzo Maresca's Leicester City, but he's not been able to stake a strong claim on a first-team spot over the past twelve months at Chelsea.
