"We shouldn't fear any team in this league"

Spireites' goalkeeper Max Thompson spoke to 1866+ ahead of the New Year's Day fixture against MK Dons, beginning with a reflection on the narrow 2-1 defeat at Bradford City. He said: "We played alright in the game, we had more than enough chances to get a few more goals and get something out of the game. Bradford didn't create much, we limited them in terms of chances but unfortunately the two they did have, they managed to take them and we couldn't get back into the game. "It's disappointing because you never want to concede, but you can look at it in a positive way; that we are limiting teams to a small number of chances." On the injuries within the squad, Max said: "There's not a lot you can do about the injuries. There's no point complaining about it, you've just got to get on with your job and when the lads do start getting fit, it's an added bonus. "When bodies do come back in, it always helps, but at the minute we're doing what we can and we're managing to get by."
