Eberechi Eze has consistently been one of the standout players at Crystal Palace.
The attacking midfielder managed 11 goals and six assists last season and has four goals and two assists to his name this season.
Eche’s displays for Crystal Palace have seen him attract the attention of several clubs and Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, focuses on Napoli.
Napoli are leading the table with 32 points from 14 games, four points ahead of second, third and fourth placed Atalanta, Inter Milan and Fiorentina respectively. The latter three all have a game in hand.
He claims the Serie A side have included the 26-year-old in their target list and have been monitoring the player closely.
The journalist further adds the England international’s performances for Oliver Glasner’s side ‘didn’t go unnoticed’ at the Naples club. He mentions this when covering the Serie A side’s plans for the winter market.
According to Ceccarini, Antonio Conte’s side are focusing on strengthening their defence while they are also looking at other positions. They have the Eagles star on their agenda to improve their attack in the future.
Napoli are aware it’s ‘not easy’ carrying out a ‘high-level’ operation in January. This would mean it’s complicated for them to sign the Crystal Palace player in the next window.
The cost of any transfer would surely be very difficult for Napoli to cover.
