Crystal Palace are among the clubs in the picture to sign Slavia Prague’s El Hadji Malick Diouf in the winter market.
The 20-year-old joined the Czech club in January 2024 and signed a deal until 2028. He operated as a left wing-back and impressed this season, managing six goals and three assists from 28 games.
Wiw Sport state his performances have aroused interest from several clubs, including Crystal Palace.
Three days ago, journalist Santia Aouna reported Slavia Prague have rejected the Eagles’ first official bid of €15m for the defender.
Wiw Sport relay this and then provide their own information on this case. They point out Slavia Prague manager Jindřich Trpišovský and sporting director Jiří Bílek have insisted it will be difficult to retain him beyond this window, but he won’t leave for any price.
Crystal Palace are one of the clubs chasing the Senegal international and the report states Slavia Prague want €25m to sell him in January.
The price quoted is ‘not impossible’ for Oliver Glasner’s side to match and WiW Sport state they are ‘ready to approach’ Slavia Prague’s request to sign the Senegalese.
Crystal Palace have to act quickly because of the competition, but the club they’re up against aren’t named. El Hadji Malick Diouf isn’t in a rush and needs convincing for a transfer to take shape.
