The Blues travel to King Power in what promises to be a physical battle

Starting Lineups

Everton - Sean Dyche is at least going to go for it today, with Iliman Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrom both starting. Dwight McNeil joins them in what should be a pretty fluid three behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Midfield will be a new-look pairing of Orel Mangala with Abdoulaye Doucoure, while James Garner slots in at right back, Ashley Young on the left. James Tarkowski returns in the middle with Michael Keane.

Leicester - Steve Cooper gives the ageless Jamie Vardy another start.

Preview

Everton, despite being markedly better than last season, somehow are the worst time in the top five European leagues in terms of position. Yet, they are in a position to change all that today when they travel to the King Power Stadium with an opportunity to jump into possibly 15th spot with an away win at Leicester City.

As you might have heard ad nauseam, twice the Toffees have blown two-goal leads to lose 3-2, having shipped a record number of goals and all other manner of ignominious records in the first four weeks of the pivotal 2024-25 season so far.

Hosts Leicester City are meanwhile buzzing having beaten the Premier League's attempts to fine them for Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR) violations even before they had formally re-entered the top flight.
