Everton are willing to lower their demands for Beto by €5m if Torino will take away certain obstacles to a loan deal becoming permanent.

That's according to Tuttosport, who report that the 'conditions' for the transfer that Everton are setting remain a problem for the Italian side.

The newspaper takes a somewhat pessimistic view on the potential transfer today, despite headlining it with the fact Everton will lower their valuation of the striker from €25m to €20m.

They say that Torino, and director of football Davide Vagnati, are hoping that Beto's pressure can convince Everton into letting him go in a deal that favours them.

Vagnati wants to take the striker on a 'costly' loan with a 'very conditional' option to buy. This option would only be triggered if the striker makes ten appearances and scores no less than six or seven goals. The clause would also no exceed €14m.

He's using the clauses as 'constraints' and something of a safety net. The suggestion is that, in reality, he wants to avoid buying Beto permanently.

Everton, though, want the option to buy to be an obligation to buy. They're willing to lower their demands from €25m to €20m but want it dependent on 'a couple of appearances' and goals not to be an issue. In other words, they want the permanent transfer to be more of a formality.

Vagnati met with Beto and his agent last weekend and the striker made it clear he wants to return to Italy. It is now up to him to put the pressure on Everton to reduce their demands.
