Player could be handed Spain chance after leaving Everton – On club's alternative list

André Gomes could be set for a return to Spain as Las Palmas are showing an interest in him following his Everton exit.
That's according to journalist Marcos Benito for El Chiringuito, who reports that the midfielder is 'on the radar' for Las Palmas after leaving Everton.
Gomes is available on a free transfer after leaving Everton earlier this summer, the Blues deciding not offer him a new contract at the end of last season.
That brought an end to a disappointing five years at Goodison Park that had started positively with a loan move from Barcelona but was halted in it's tracks by a broken ankle suffered against Tottenham the following season.
He was plagued by injury issues after that point and spent 112 days out of action last season, missing 16 games of the campaign under Sean Dyche.
A move to MLS had been mooted earlier this year but now Las Palmas may be ready to offer him a return to Spain instead.
Benito reports that they are interested in the former Everton man if their efforts to sign Sergio Ruiz come to nothing.
It seems Gomes is only an alternative at this point but the fact he's available on a free is presumably a bonus for the La Liga side, so they've put him on their list if their other plans don't work out.
