Whether Nottingham Forest will loan out Carlos Miguel next season

This had been a million-dollar question among the Nottingham Forest supporters.

So often has it been the case that Forest have signed unknown quantities and then loaned them straight out – usually to Olympiacos.

That happened earlier this summer when Marko Stamenic signed from Red Star Belgrade and then immediately headed to Greece.

Now, Nottingham Forest News that Miguel will be part of Nuno Espirito Santo‘s squad next season.

The 25-year-old hasn’t played lots of first-team football but it would appear that Forest have very high hopes for him.

There shouldn’t be too much concern that Miguel has only played 25 times for Corinthians.

Murillo hadn’t featured much at all for the Brazilian outfit when he signed for Forest last summer and he took the Premier League by storm.

Carlos Miguel will become the Premier League’s tallest player at Forest

Miguel at 6ft 7in will overtake Dan Burn of Newcastle when he signs for Forest with the Magpies star standing at 6ft 5in.

It’s quite something that Forest are going to sign such a giant of a goalkeeper and he will tower above everyone in the Forest squad.

Matz Sels is going to have his hands full when it comes to keeping Miguel out of the team.

Forest were always going to target a new custodian and perhaps Espirito Santo is keen to play a new number one.

Now, the pre-season campaign will likely see a fierce battle between Miguel and Sles for the number one shirt.
