'Great news'… Nottingham Forest fans buzzing as £16m star issues an update

Nottingham Forest were dealt their fair share of injuries towards the start of the season, and one player in particular has provided an update on his situation.
A big part of Nottingham Forest‘s recent run has been keeping the best players fit and healthy, as well as squad depth coming into effect.
Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson have struggled at times from injuries, but Nicolas Dominguez has slotted in seamlessly and is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
Ibrahim Sangare had an operation on his hamstring back in September, but it yet to return, with a date set for possibly the New Year if everything is on track.
However, it’s a different player who provided a positive update on his injury situation recently, and it certainly got a lot of Nottingham Forest fans excited.
Danilo issues injury update on Instagram
Danilo has been out since the Bournemouth clash earlier on this season after suffering a significant ankle injury, but it doesn’t appear as it will be too long.
Nuno Espirito Santo was shocked at Danilo’s progress when he saw him during the celebration of the Premier League Manager of the Month award.
It was claimed Danilo would return around the New Year, and it looks as if that could be the case.
The midfielder has now taken to Instagram, posting an image of himself on his story taking part in training, wearing a full Nottingham Forest training kit and one of the vests that tracks data.
Where does Danilo fit in?
The midfield options currently at Nuno Espirito Santo’s disposal are Ryan Yates, Dominguez, Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson.
Of late, Anderson has had to take up a role on the substitutes’ bench, which shows just how competitive things are right now.
So, for Danilo, it certainly won’t be easy to break into the midfield straight away, and he’ll likely be slowly introduced back in after so long out, but it’ll provide some extra squad depth.
Danilo differs form Yates and Dominguez by offering that extra attacking threat from midfield, which has been an issue in games Gibbs-White has missed this season.
