Morgan Gibbs-White’s importance cannot be understated at Nottingham Forest, but there’s no certainty he’ll be fit to face Crystal Palace on Monday.

Nottingham Forest‘s only loss of the season came against Fulham at the City Ground not so long ago, and that was a game in which Morgan Gibbs-White was suspended.

The midfielder was sent off by Rob Jones for a second yellow card offence. A panel later decided that Gibbs-White shouldn’t have actually been dismissed, but that didn’t change his suspension.

His luck didn’t get much better against Chelsea last time out either, as Gibbs-White was substituted with an injury that has put his availability for the Crystal Palace clash in doubt.

However, there is hope he could return if Nuno Espirito Santo is willing to risk him.

Now, an injury expert has shared the chances of the Englishman returning to face Crystal Palace.

Morgan Gibbs-White’s chances of returning to face Crystal Palace

Morgan Gibbs-White has been at the heart of the creative side of things for Nottingham Forest this season, which was evident when the Reds struggled against Fulham without him.

His performances even earned him an England call-up, and Gibbs-White was set for his second one, but the injury forced him to withdraw.

Injury expert Ben Dinnery has now shared the chances of the midfielder making the Crystal Palace clash.

Premier Injuries state that Morgan Gibbs-White has a 50% chance of playing.

Of course, it’ll very much depend on where he’s at and Nuno Espirito Santo’s decision, but it’s good to see he at least has a chance of still making the game.

Crystal Palace’s record in the Premier League this season

Crystal Palace were the form side towards the end of last season under Oliver Glasner. However, things haven’t gone to plan for them so far in the current campaign.

The Eagles currently sit inside the relegation places on three points from their opening seven games, with immediate improvements needed.

However, they do have a number of danger men, with Eberechi Eze the main one.

Ryan Yates’s job will be to keep him quiet. He dealt so well with Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer last time out against Chelsea.
