'Not having it': Gary Lineker stunned by something that happened in Nottingham Forest win

Nottingham Forest won 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday and the Reds richly deserved the victory that was secured in stoppage time.
Jhon Duran put Villa ahead but late goals from Nikola Milenkovic and Anthony Elanga ensured the win.
Elanga was praised by Theo Walcott after the game and he will be absolutely delighted to score again for the first time since February.
Unai Emery was left frustrated with VAR after his Villa team were denied a penalty kick but Forest won’t extend too much sympathy there.
The Reds were almost robbed themselves, when Chris Wood saw an effort ruled out for offside, despite the replay showing Elanga might have actually been just on.
Gary Lineker stunned by something that happened in Nottingham Forest game
Hold the front page, Lineker has defended Forest!
In fairness, Lineker has already changed his mind on the club’s relegation chances and he appears to have backed down a little bit.
After Wood was denied an 11th goal of the season against Villa, however, he’s called on the powers that be to make some tweaks to the system.
He said on Match of the Day: “I’m not having it either that Chris Wood goal being offside either with the lines being drawn from his shoulder. Nobody wants to see that. How can they judge that? They need to change it.”
Forest finally end up on the right side of VAR calls
It has to be said that Forest probably did actually get away with one yesterday.
There appeared to be a clear penalty on Morgan Rogers in the first half but thankfully, nothing came from it.
Forest might also have committed a foul in the build-up to the winning goal but Elliot Anderson was deemed to have taken the ball from Matty Cash fair and square.
The Reds have had some real stinkers when it comes to VAR but yesterday all was well that ended well.
Wood’s goal probably should have stood with Elanga seemingly just onside – although it did look very tight indeed.
Lineker is right that perhaps something needs to change though and the sooner automated offside comes into the game the better it will be for everyone.
