Nottingham Forest got themselves a share of the spoils during an entertaining game against Brighton with the score finishing 2-2.

The Reds were leading thanks to a goal from Chris Wood who converted a penalty after Callum Hudson-Odoi was fouled in the box.

However, Jack Hinshelwood equalised in the 41st minute and just three minutes later a Danny Welbeck free-kick left Matz Sels to scratch his head.

Forest weren’t to be denied though and Ramon Sosa stepped off the bench to fire the Reds to a point and maintain an unbeaten start to the campaign.

Late on, Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off for a second yellow card and he will now miss the game against Fulham next weekend.

As the dust settles on the game at the AMEX Stadium, we looked at some Forest player ratings.

Nottingham Forest player ratings

Matz Sels – 4

This would have been lower but after setting up a kamikaze wall that allowed Welbeck to score a free-kick, he redeemed himself with a brilliant last-gasp stop in the second half from the same player.

Ola Aina – 6

Steady again – as he usually is – but did struggle a little bit defensively and made a rash tackle that allowed Welbeck to score from the set piece.

Nikola Milenkovic – 7

Looks like an astute signing for just £12 million and once again led by example from the back. His partnership with Murillo looks like being very important this season.

Murillo – 7

Made several quality blocks during the game and once again looks like a player who is bang in form at the start of this season.

Alex Moreno – 6

Did pretty well in the first half but was hooked as Nuno Espirito Santo tried to inject something different into his team.

James Ward-Prowse – 6

Was relatively quiet during the first half but did make some useful tackles before going off at the interval.

Elliot Anderson – 7

Looks like a useful signing for Forest but it would appear he picked up a minor knock during this one. Either that, or he was simply shattered following a workmanlike performance.

Anthony Elanga – 6

Didn’t really have the desired impact on the game and couldn’t link up with Hudson-Odoi as he did at Liverpool last week. Was hooked at half-time.

Morgan Gibbs-White – 6

Did well for the first goal but lost a mark for a sending-off. However, replays did show that he played a lot of the ball. Still, he did

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 7

Worked tirelessly throughout the contest and probably deserved a goal for his efforts during the 90 minutes he spent on the pitch.

Chris Wood – 6

Another goal for the big man and he looks like a player brimming in confidence right now. Took his penalty very well.

Substitutes

Neco Williams – 3

Struggled from the moment he was cautioned just 50 seconds after being introduced from the bench at half-time. Couldn’t get near Kaoru Mitoma and almost let Joao Pedro score.

Morato – N/A

Was only on for the final 10 minutes and did what he had to without fuss.

Ryan Yates – 6

Proved a bit of a nark for the opposition and did very well during his time on the pitch. Being picky there were times when he could have been braver and gone forwards but he did okay.

Jota Silva – 7

A real livewire performance. Got an assist for the Reds by teeing up Sosa for the equalising goal to earn Forest a point.

Ramon Sosa – 6

A very tidy finish for his maiden Forest goal but should have had an assist when trying to pass to Hudson-Odoi late in the game.
