Nottingham Forest played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon in a really entertaining game of Premier League football.

Forest gave a good account of themselves against a Chelsea team who have been scoring goals for fun.

Chris Wood added a fourth goal of the season to his name before Noni Madueke levelled things up.

Following the draw we took a look at some player ratings from a Forest perspective.

Matz Sels – 10

Got this rating despite conceding for four outstanding saves. A double save from Cole Palmer was special and a late stop from Madueke was absolutely tremendous!

Ola Aina – 5

A pretty below-par performance from the Nigerian defender and he will be keen to move on quickly from this game. Aina failed to show Chelsea – his former club – exactly what he’s capable of.

Nikola Milenkovic – 8

Absolutely colossal from the Serbia captain. In truth, Milenkovic wouldn’t look out of place at any of European football’s top club sides and Forest did remarkably well to sign him for just £12 million.

Murillo – 6

A really indifferent performance from the centre-back. The good stuff he did was amazing and the bad stuff he was guilty of was absolutely horrific. Still, as a young player, he will have days like this and there is some credit in the bank.

Alex Moreno – 6

A pretty ordinary performance it has to be said by Moreno’s high standards this season. Didn’t do anything majorly wrong but did often struggle with the threat of Noni Madueke.

Ryan Yates – 8

Exceptional performance from the captain. Probably his best showing in a Premier League game of football since Forest returned to the top flight in 2022. More of this is required from Yates.

James Ward-Prowse – 4

Not the best display the midfielder will ever have gracing a Premier League match. He was pretty ordinary in possession – which is rare – and was shown a comical second yellow for handling the ball when Nicolas Jackson was racing through.

Elliot Anderson – 7

A very solid display from the man signed from Newcastle United. Came off on the 65th-minute mark for Jota Silva and in fairness, he probably didn’t deserve to be hooked.

Morgan Gibbs-White – 6

Wasn’t the talismanic performer’s best day at the office. Forest will now face an anxious wait to discover the extent of the injury that forced him off in the second half. Hopefully, it’s not serious.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6

Couldn’t really get going against his former club and was substituted to a standing ovation from the Chelsea faithful on a visit to his former club.

Chris Wood – 7

Took his goal exceptionally well and it was a finish that showcased a striker who is enjoying a purple patch of form at the moment. He remains very much an underrated member of the Forest dressing room.

Substitutes

Jota Silva (Anderson, 65′) – 6

Quiet during his time on the pitch but was as tireless as ever.

Neco Williams – 6

Should have won the game for Forest late in the second half but Robert Sanchez produced a quality save.

Morato – 6

Didn’t have much to do and played his part in the defensive performance.

Nicolas Dominguez – 6

Didn’t see too much of the ball after replacing the injured Gibbs-White.
