Nottingham Forest face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon in a game that looks to be eagerly anticipated.

The Reds lost their unbeaten run last week in losing to Fulham and will want to bounce back with a positive result today.

Nuno Espirito Santo is demanding more from his Forest team and a game against Chelsea looks like a difficult one.

Forest have an international break after today’s game and that will provide a chance for the team to take stock.

Ahead of today’s game, we looked at a potential starting eleven that Espirito Santo might call upon.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Chelsea

Nottingham Forest rearguard

There are some decisions today for Espirito Santo after going with four central midfielders against Fulham last week.

We’re not sure he will be that way inclined today and that back five could pick itself once again.

Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic will be flanked by Ola Aina at right-back and Alex Moreno at left-back.

Matz Sels will once again wear the gloves between the posts.

The Reds are going to have to make the most of set pieces today and that leads to James Ward-Prowse playing.

The on-loan midfielder will be rooting for a positive performance and his dead ball moments could be vital.

Alongside him, there is a decision to make and we think Elliot Anderson could be the man to get the nod.

That means that Ryan Yates will start the game on the bench this afternoon.

Leading the Forest line

Chris Wood has scored three times this season and it looks as though he will be the one to play up top today.

Taiwo Awoniyi will provide competition from the bench.

Behind Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White returns from suspension and he could captain the team today.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga were on the bench last week but both should come in and start today.

Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa will provide options from the bench.
