Pundit thinks he knows where Nottingham Forest will finish after 1-1 draw vs Liverpool

Nottingham Forest played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night to make it eight games unbeaten in all competitions.
The Reds took the lead on eight minutes at the City Ground. Anthony Elanga slipped in Chris Wood who struck the ball first time, leaving Alisson Becker stranded between the posts.
Forest held the advantage until the 66th minute. Kostas Tsimikas teed up Diogo Jota to score with his first touch after Arne Slot introduced the two players from the bench.
Arne Slot made a comical claim in the build-up about Forest. He’d cited the team’s spending as a prerequisite for being so high in the Premier League and seemed to downplay the team’s season so far.
Clinton Morrison knows where Forest will finish this season after Liverpool draw
The BBC 5 Live pundit was covering the Forest match last night for radio coverage. He was quizzed on the performance of the Reds and suggested it was a positive one against the team top of the pile.
Furthermore, Morrison also thinks he knows where Forest will finish now this season. The display against Liverpool has shown him all he needs to know about the Reds and what can be achieved it would seem.
He said on BBC Sport: “Forest have definitely got title ambitions. To hold the best team in the league is a fantastic result.
“Liverpool fame on strong in the last 10 minutes and you have to stick together. To get four points from the team who are probably going to win the league is brilliant.
“Off the evidence of tonight, Forest will finish in the Champions League spots.”
Reaching the Champions League won’t define the season for Forest
Finishing in any European competition would have to be viewed as a job well done for Forest. However, with the league panning out as it is right now, there is every chance that the Reds can achieve the unthinkable.
Newcastle and Manchester City will likely finish strong in the campaign and that might concern Forest. The beauty from our perspective, however, is that the pressure is very much off.
Forest have already proved Gary Lineker wrong this season. He backed the Reds for relegation during pre-season but things are very much looking up for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team right now.
The Champions League does feel like a big ask for Forest. Essentially, the challenge for the team is to simply enjoy the ride, keep picking up points and not get too downbeat when the setbacks do come along.
