Nottingham Forest will be delighted to have made it out of the summer transfer window having kept their top players at the club.

Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side have made a bright start to the 2024/25 campaign with five points on the board from their opening three games.

Forest were able to bring in a double digit number of new players over the summer with Evangelos Marinakis providing Nuno with ample backing.

However, it is apparent there may be some concerns over the long-term future of some of the top players at the club who remained over the summer.

Morgan Gibbs-White is expected to hold fresh contract talks to make him Forest’s top earner with a bumper new deal.

But there is another player who is still attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs ahead of next summer.

Inter Milan considering Nottingham Forest defender

The likes of Gibbs-White have received interest from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United over recent months.

However, Murillo is a player who has seen the likes of Arsenal show some interest during this summer’s window.

And despite remaining put this summer, it seems as if the interest in the Brazilian defender is now slowing down.

According to Inter Live, the Serie A giants are now considering a move for Murillo next summer.

It has been reported previously that Forest value Murillo in the region of £70m following a bright start to his time at the City Ground.

And the report from Italy notes Inter are aware that Forest will be looking for a significant fee for the Brazilian.

Despite claiming Murillo is ‘destined for great things’ there is the caveat that Inter could opt for a cheaper option when the time comes to it.

Steve Cooper signing Murillo could turn a huge profit

It was Steve Cooper who brought Murillo into the club for around £10m in the summer of 2023 from Corinthians.

And the centre-back has played a big role in keeping Forest up in the Premier League over that period of time.

Murillo has even been hailed as ‘sensational’ during his time at Forest as he has caught the attention of some of the bigger sides in the Premier League.

However, that could well see the Brazilian push for a move to the next step in the summer, but Forest till turn a hefty profit if they are to sanction his exit.
