'That's all I can say': James Ward-Prowse shares who his allegiance is with for Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
Today at 03:00 AM
Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham United will travel to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, and James Ward-Prowse has given his prediction on what could unfold.
James Ward-Prowse joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan from West Ham United, which makes this weekend’s game even more interesting.
He’s made five appearances in the Premier League so far this season, but hasn’t quite been able to hit the heights we saw at West Ham since moving to the City Ground.
Interestingly, Ward-Prowse has even been named in a list of the top 10 worst signings from the summer transfer window, which isn’t a great look.
His red card against Chelsea was one that couldn’t really be avoided, given he stopped a counter attack. But it’s put him further back in the pecking order, as the midfielder have been on fire recently.
The midfielder has made his prediction involving Forest and West Ham, but didn’t want to give too much away.

James Ward-Prowse predicts Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
It’s always an awkward situation when your loan club comes up against your parent club, as you don’t want to cut off any ties to your parent club but also want to appease the loan club.
Given Julen Lopetegui’s decision to get rid of Ward-Prowse in the summer, it’s unlikely that he’ll have much of a chance back at the London Stadium, unless he starts performing here.
Regardless, he’s been talking on the Shut Up and Show More Football Nottingham Forest podcast, where he gave his thoughts on this weekend’s game.
“Yeah, yeah, of course, the starts not been maybe the best for them and, you know, but still a squad full of, you know, Premier League quality players who can hurt you at any moment.
“So it’s going to be a strange game, watching it from a kind of a neutral perspective. And yeah, I’ll be sitting on my hands either way. And yeah, hopefully will be a, you know, good game either way.
“I’ve never had to sort of experience that before. So yeah, it’ll be interesting, but, you know, hopefully a good spectacle. That’s all I can say.”
The bonds James Ward-Prowse has already made at Nottingham Forest
James Ward-Prowse may not have performed to the best of his ability on the field, but he has managed to create a number of tight bonds already.
Ryan Yates and Ward-Prowse are already good buddies at the City Ground after the club captain welcomed him into the club and made him feel welcome.
"He's been fantastic to play with for sure. He's welcomed me into the club and he's sort of made me feel right at home. I sort of feel like I knew him before I actually knew him if you like, he's someone I get on with really well and I love playing alongside him.
"He's not just a good captain but he's a good captain and he's someone who you feel like you've got your mate in there and that's a big thing, we push each other through."
