Nottingham Forest claimed a share of the spoils from the trip to Brighton on Sunday as the team’s unbeaten record remained intact.

Forest led, then fell behind and equalised with 20 minutes remaining to make it nine points from the opening five games of the campaign.

Liverpool were despatched by Forest at Anfield last weekend and this weekend, the Seagulls couldn’t overcome a dogged and determined team.

The Reds’ start to the season has been built on a solid rearguard and the partnership of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic looks like a strong one.

Murillo did something on Sunday that nobody in the Premier League has managed this season

The trajectory of Murillo since he signed for Forest has been nothing short of remarkable – and now he’s a wanted man.

It’s been claimed that Real Madrid are the latest club looking at signing the player, with Forest valuing him around the £70 million mark.

On Sunday, he was once again in action as Forest played Brighton and did something that no other Premier League player has managed this season.

Who Scored showcased that he made a staggering 15 clearances against the Seagulls – more than any player has managed in the top flight during one game this season.

It takes Murillo to fifth on the list of players to have made the most appearances in the Premier League during 2024/25.

He’s behind Virgil van Dijk, Jacob Greaves, Wout Faes and Marc Guehi, with clearing the ball definitely something the player has worked on.

The 22-year-old was in fine form and it’s quite amazing that Forest stood firm in the summer when a number of clubs came calling.

Forest can command whatever fee they want for Murillo

During the summer it was claimed that Forest fielded lots of called for the defender who they currently want £70 million for.

However, no club coughed up the money and now he’s played a big part in an unbeaten start to the campaign for Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be buzzing with his current form and ultimately his stock continues to rise with every passing game.

With that in mind, Forest are holding all of the aces when it comes to Murillo.

If he remains at the club for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign he will be worth an absolute fortune and it will be intriguing to see what fee Forest would then be able to sell at.
