Nottingham Forest claimed a huge point against Chelsea and in truth, the Reds might have taken all three on another day.

Nuno Espirito Santo set up with a bold approach and Forest competed during a very entertaining Premier League clash.

Robert Sanchez was in fine form and he also praised his opposite number and a string of brilliant saves from the two goalkeepers.

Forest were a little bit like the walking wounded after the game. Morgan Gibbs-White went off injured, whilst Callum Hudson-Odoi was spotted limping afterwards.

It proved a blood and thunder clash as Neco Williams sparked chaos when he tripped Marc Cucurella – with James Ward-Prowse already having been shown a red card.

In an action-packed game, Forest stood firm and after 13 minutes of stoppage time, the team headed back to the Midlands with a point for their efforts.

What Joe Hart said about Forest star Matz Sels

The former England and Manchester City goalkeeper has been a great addition to the Match of the Day 2 team this season.

It’s always good to have a goalkeeper’s perspective on a panel of pundits and Hart talks extremely well.

Last night, he was quizzed on the two goalkeepers and he had some very positive words to say about Sels in the Forest goal.

Hart explained: “Sels was excellent and so too was Robert Sanchez. Today, Sels has earned his team a point without a doubt.”

Sels will now strive for consistency in the Forest goal

Some supporters had been calling for Carlos Miguel to get the gloves in recent weeks, with some less than convincing stuff from Sels.

However, he’s never really dropped a major clanger in a Forest shirt and perhaps that has convinced Espirito Santo to stick with his stopper.

Yesterday, he repaid that faith with a string of saves to thwart Chelsea in their attempts to claim another three points.

Sels’ point-blank save late in the piece was just ridiculous and that save simply has to be up for Save of the Month when the time comes.

The challenge now is for Sels to do this on a regular basis and silence the remaining critics who are still sceptical of his place in the team.
