Berge helps Norway to promotion

Fulham midfielder Sander Berge played the full ninety minutes as Norway clinched promotion to the Nations League’s top tier with a 5-0 thrashing of Kazakhstan tonight.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland hit a hat-trick with Alexander Sorloth and Antonio Nusa adding the other goals. The Norwegians still had to rely on other results going their way to reach Group A – and Austria were nine minutes away from winning the group before Adam Gnezda Cerin’s equaliser for Slovenia forced Ralf Rangnick’s side into a promotion-relegation play-off.
