Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard was in international action for Norway in Friday evening’s Nations League meeting with Kazakhstan.

The Gunners ace has made a name for himself as an indispensable player for club and country alike over the past few years.

Indeed, it can be argued that Odegaard may possibly be too indispensable for Norway.

The Arsenal star played the full 90 minutes for his country despite his knock against Brighton last time out.

Norwegian outlet NRK suggested after the game that the £30million man may have "too much responsibility" in his international role.

Nevertheless, the fact of the matter is, Odegaard does deliver for club and country alike.

And despite Norway failing to win in Kazakhstan, the Arsenal star clocked up some impressive stats on the day.

Arsenal star Martin Odegaard shines for Norway

As per Sofascore, Odegaard took 107 touches of the ball and made 71 passes, of which 63 found their designated target and four were key passes.

The Arsenal skipper also won 13 ground duels and one aerial duel, saw three shots blocked, and chipped in with one interception.

Crucially, Odegaard appeared to have emerged from the match unscathed, despite the opposition players weighing in with several crunching tackles. He was fouled five times.

When could Odegaard play next?

Norway are next in action on Monday when they host Austria in a Nations League encounter in Oslo, and Odegaard is expected to play.

Everyone connected with Arsenal will hope he’ll come through that match unscathed too, as the Gunners are up against Tottenham Hotspur next.

With Declan Rice suspended and Emirates Stadium summer signing Mikel Merino injured, Arsenal will not want any more sidelined midfielders.
