UEFA Champions League football resumes this week – with Aston Villa, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all in action.

The Premier League quartet all face tricky tests in Europe, with Manchester City taking on PSG, Liverpool clashing against Lille, Aston Villa travelling away to Monaco and Arsenal going up against Dinamo Zagreb.

For those who progress far in the UEFA Champions League this season, a huge chunk of prize money awaits – although the aforementioned Premier League sides have already banked millions of cash from UEFA this term.

Liverpool have received the most cash from UEFA while Manchester City obtain the least of any Premier League side

With six wins from six in the UEFA Champions League this season, Liverpool have earned more prize money in the competition than any other side so far this term.

As UEFA revealed in an official document back in March, each win in the UEFA Champions League this season is worth €2.1m (£1.8m) – meaning the Reds have already banked £10.8m thanks to their 100% record.

Aston Villa – who are close to signing Loic Bade – and Arsenal, who like Matheus Cunha, both have four wins and a draw.

With UEFA also paying out €700,000 (£589,868) per draw, it means the Villans and the Gunners have accumulated £7.8m each.
