Arsenal’s current squad is one of the best the Gunners have had in the Premier League era, and certain players from this team could become club legends.

Bukayo Saka is well on track to becoming one of Arsenal’s best-ever players if the winger opts to remain in north London for the majority of his career, with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard in a similar boat after their performances.

Two more players who look to go down in Arsenal folklore are Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba, with David Seaman recently hailing the two as the duo currently look like the best centre-back pairing in all of Europe.

Yet former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes the hype surrounding the two is going a bit too far already.

Gabriel and Saliba not comparable yet to Arsenal greats

Speaking to the Sun, Redknapp made the claim that it is early to currently compare Gabriel and Saliba to Arsenal greats like Tony Adams and Steve Bould, with the former manager noting that the two defenders are yet to even win the Premier League.

Redknapp said: “Arsenal's defence looks strong, especially centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. But it's a bit early to compare them to Tony Adams, Steve Bould and other great Arsenal defenders of the past. They haven't won a league title.”
