Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho has admitted “the last few weeks have not been easy” in a new social media message after their 2-2 Premier League draw with Liverpool.
The 20-year-old replaced fellow youngster Kobbie Mainoo in the 72nd minute as Ruben Amorim’s side earned a hard-fought point against the league leaders.
Lisandro Martinez opened the scoring for the visitors just after half-time before Cody Gakpo bagged the equaliser just nine minutes later.
Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead from the penalty spot after the ball struck Matthijs de Ligt’s hand from Alexis Mac Allister’s header.
Liverpool looked set for another win over their old rivals but Amad Diallo had other ideas, scoring an 80th-minute equaliser ensuring the two sides shared the spoils.
Garnacho has been in and out of the side this season, starting 15 of his 29 games across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing four assists in his 1561 minutes of action.

Still active on Instagram, Garnacho send a message to the fans, saying: “Good point at Anfield to start the year. The last few weeks have not been easy, but it's good to start the year like this and try to build from this.”
United have climbed from 14th to 13th after their draw with Liverpool, winning six, drawing five, and losing nine of their 20 games.
