Alexander Isak has sent Newcastle fans a message following their victory against Arsenal on Monday (7 January) in the EFL Cup semi-final.
The Magpies were surprisingly dominant at the Emirates Stadium, picking up a 2-0 win despite playing away from home against Mikel Arteta's side.
Isak opened the scoring in the 37th minute which was then followed by Anthony Gordon doubling their lead in the second half, putting Newcastle one foot in the final.
Eddie Howe's team will face the Gunners in the second leg of the competition on 5 February, where they will be just 90 minutes away from reaching Wembley Stadium.
However, the Sweden international was keen to remind everyone that there is still a lot of work to do before they can think about the final.
Isak took to Instagram to celebrate the win by saying, "first half," with a tick emoji alongside it.
Newcastle United will look to keep hold of Alexander Isak
Newcastle will be concentrating on simply retaining the services of Isak throughout the January transfer window in order for him to play in the second leg of that game.
The striker is under contract at St. James' Park until 2028, but his impressive performances on Tyneside have attracted plenty of interest.
Isak has scored 15 goals and provided four assists this season in 22 appearances across all competitions.
