Man United forward Amad Diallo has taken to social media to celebrate signing a new contract at the club after his impressive recent form.

The 22-year-old has signed a new deal that will keep him at the 20-time Champions until the summer of 2030 with his previous deal expiring at the end of the season.

Diallo has been a rare bright spark as United have struggled this season, starting 18 of his 28 games across all competitions, scoring six goals, and providing seven assists in his 1699 minutes of action.

Over half of those minutes (908) have come since Ruben Amorim took over in November, scoring three goals and providing five assists in the 12 games under the Portuguese coach.

United have continued to struggle since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag, sitting in 13th with six wins, five draws, nine defeats, and 23 points from their 20 Premier League games.

The Ivory Coast international has proven to be a big game player under Amorim, scoring the winner in their last-gasp 2-1 win over Man City, and the equaliser in United’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday (January 5).

Diallo took to Instagram after Man United confirmed his new deal to share images of himself and the powers that be, as well as himself with an Ivory Coast flag at Old Trafford.

United have six games remaining in January alone including crucial Europa League clashes with Rangers and FCSB.

Amorim’s attention will be firmly on domestic affairs for now, however, with his side travelling to Arsenal for their first FA Cup game of the season.
