Onana's season at Aston Villa has been disrupted by multiple injuries, with the midfielder last featuring on 1 February against Wolves.
He has already missed 15 games this season but made a step forward in his recovery by being named on the bench for Villa's second-leg tie against Club Brugge before the international break, though he remained an unused substitute.
Onana has dropped several clues to Aston Villa fans suggesting he is back to full fitness, but he was not included in Belgium's latest squad for their Nations League clash against Ukraine, which they won 4-3 on aggregate.
With his return to the pitch seemingly imminent, Onana posted a cryptic message just days before Unai Emery's side are back in action on 30 March.

Amadou Onana’s return provides boost for Aston Villa’s Champions League and FA Cup ambitions
Emery's side have faced several injury setbacks this season, which have disrupted their pursuit of European football and consistency in the Premier League.
They were forced to act quickly in the January transfer window as Aston Villa brought in Axel Disasi despite some fan concerns, due to injuries to key players like Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings and Onana’s constant struggles.
Villa currently sit ninth in the Premier League, just four points behind Chelsea, who occupy fourth place. Emery has faced mounting pressure from Villa fans due to inconsistent performances, and failing to secure European football would be a major disappointment.
However, the club is still firmly in the hunt for silverware, with a quarter-final FA Cup tie against Preston on the horizon and a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals secured. Onana's return to the squad will be a welcome boost as the team looks to strengthen their push for both Europe and domestic glory.
