Ange Postecoglou says £90k-a-week Tottenham player is 'definitely an option' to start at left wing tonight

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against arguably the toughest opponent they could have drawn.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs will be up against Manchester City in Wednesday night’s 8:15pm kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In addition, the Tottenham boss has a selection dilemma ahead of the game, namely who to start on the left side of attack.
Son Heung-min isn't ready to play yet, while Wilson Odobert has suffered a setback that looks “serious”.
Meanwhile, Mikey Moore has already started Tottenham’s last two games, and a third consecutive start in a week is a big ask for such a young player.
Postecoglou, speaking to football.london ahead of the game, has now said a player who doesn’t normally feature on the left is “definitely an option”.
Richarlison “definitely an option” on the left
The player in question is Richarlison, who has recently returned to the fold after weeks on the sidelines due to injury.
Postecoglou was asked at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference whether the £90,000-a-week forward (TEAMtalk) is an option on the left.
“I think Richy has played a lot of his football on the left and he’s definitely an option there for us,” he replied. “He’s an option through the middle as well.
“Again, he’s getting some good match minutes now and hopefully with the next couple of weeks, with a good game schedule…
“He is only just getting his season started and the more we can expose him without overburdening him in these early stages, he’ll be able to contribute even more.”

How often has Richarlison played at left wing in his career?
According to Transfermarkt, Richarlison’s second most common position over the course of his career has been on the left wing.
He has made 109 appearances in that position for all the clubs he’s played for, along with 11 for Brazil.
Meanwhile, 163 outings for club and country have come at centre-forward, while 60 have come on the right wing.
With that in mind, Richarlison certainly has experience in that position and, should he start there, he will know what to do.
