Tottenham Hotspur got their Europa League campaign off to a great start with a 3-0 victory over Qarabag FK.

Admittedly, it wasn’t the easiest of nights for Spurs, who often rode their luck after playing most of the game with ten men.

Ange Postecoglou’s charges suffered another early setback when Radu Dragusin was shown a straight red card in the seventh minute for bringing down Juninho as the last man.

Despite such a major issue early on, Spurs went on to take the lead in the 12th minute of the game.

Brennan Johnson got his third in three games when he slotted the ball into the bottom-left corner after great work from Dominic Solanke.

Pape Matar Sarr then doubled the Lilywhites' lead in the 52nd minute, side-footing in at the back post after Dejan Kulusevski's corner wasn't properly cleared.

Solanke went on to make it two in two for Spurs as he slotted home in the 68th minutes after Mateusz Kochalski parried a shot into his path.

One major concern for Tottenham was Son Heung-min’s suspected knock, as he came off in the 70th minute and walked gingerly off the pitch.

Postecoglou told reporters after the game, as per football.london: “He said he was a bit tight but I haven’t spoken to him or the medical staff yet.”
