Arsenal fans are all calling Bukayo Saka the same thing after his Champions League masterclass against Monaco
Today at 01:15 AM
Bukayo Saka starred once again for Arsenal as they romped to a 3-0 victory against AS Monaco in the Champions League.
Heading into the contest off the back of a 1-1 draw against Fulham, Mikel Arteta’s side would have been desperate to return to winning ways.
Arsenal were far from their brilliant best against Marco Silva’s side, struggling to create chances and play with a sense of fluidity that they have been renowned to for the past few years under Arteta.
However, on Wednesday night, the Gunners were purring, thanks to a brace from Saka and a late goal from Kai Havertz.
The Arsenal poster-boy capped off a stunning opening goal from his side, as Myles Lewis-Skelly’s incisive pass found Gabriel Jesus in space, who set the in-form winger up with an inch-perfect pass across the box.
The England international’s second goal was a routine finish off the back of a relentless piece of pressing from Havertz, who initially dispossessed Monaco goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki. Previously, Arsene Wenger claimed Saka is “world-class” and game after game, he is proving why is worthy of being recognised amongst the very best players in world football.
Saka returned the favour to the German, as his attempt at goal from close-range struck him and flew past Majecki to round off another night in the Champions League where the hosts were all smiles.
As per Squawka, the Hale End graduate is the only player in the Premier League alongside Salah to have registered 21 goal contributions across all competitions this season.
