Arsenal scrambled to a late win over Leicester City today as they rescued a huge victory on a day when Manchester City dropped points at Newcastle.

The Gunners looked down and out at 2-2 in what would have been a hugely frustrating afternoon for Mikel Arteta and his team.

However, a late corner saw Leandro Trossard manage to bundle the ball home before Kai Havertz then knocked in a fourth to ensure relief all around The Emirates.

Of course, Mikel Arteta can take some of the credit for the win as he made a few changes as he went in search of the three points.

The most eye-catching of those changes was the decision to bring on teenage sensation Ethan Nwaneri with five minutes of normal time remaining.

In the end, Nwaneri got around 15 minutes thanks to the added-time and over on social media, Arsenal fans were raving about the youngster.

Arsenal fans seriously impressed by Ethan Nwaneri against Brighton

As always on social media, exciting young players can often catch the eye and over on X, there was plenty of comments from Arsenal fans on Nwaneri.

And interestingly, a lot of Gunners fans are saying the same thing as they suggest Nwaneri is now ready to make the step and start for Arsenal.

Another Arsenal fan, @Willbalsam, echoed the thoughts of the above tweet.

“Ethan Nwaneri, there's no questions he's ready for serious minutes. The physical strength and tenacity he showed chasing that game was top notch. Mentality and calmness.”

Popular Arsenal X account @PatrickTimmons1 also had big words for Nwaneri, as he too suggested the youngster is ‘ready’.

“Ethan Nwaneri, by the way. In case you somehow weren't aware. He's ready.”

Another popular Arsenal account, @LeGrove, also followed suit, calling Nwaneri’s cameo ‘special’.

“Ethan Nwaneri cameo was very special – he’s ready. No nerves. Strong on the ball. Dangerous in front of goal. What a talent we have on our hands!”

While @Ozilthings suggested that Thomas Partey now be dropped for Nwaneri for future games.

Nwaneri, then, seems to be having quite the impact at Arsenal already and still only 17, looks set for a huge career in the game.

Arsenal fans, then, are rightly excited here.
