Arsenal now told they've lost out to Chelsea on a £51m gem who will become a 'football legend' - amid reports

If missing out on a target to Chelsea wasn’t painful enough for Arsenal, the Gunners have now been told the player in question will become a football legend.

The Blues have paid a premium to fend off the north Londoners – something that was basically a necessity after only securing a UEFA Europa League spot, as Arsenal qualified for the UEFA Champions League once again.

However, Chelsea‘s investment could prove to be a bargain within a few years, as the player in question is now tipped for stardom…

Chelsea told they have beat Arsenal to a potential “football legend” in Estevao Willian

As you may have heard, Chelsea are signing Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian in a £51.4m deal from Palmeiras.

The agreement came after highly respected South American news outlet UOL claimed that Arsenal were in talks to sign the 17-year-old as well.

Neto – a pundit for Brazilian outlet Band – has now been speaking about Estevao, confidently telling the nation that the teenager “will” become a “football legend” when he fulfils his immense potential.

The pundit added that he has never seen anything like the Brazil U17 international with the exception of Neymar – who of course eventually developed into the most expensive footballer in history after moving to PSG for £200m.

Mikel Arteta has less of a need for the Brazilian wonderkid

While it would have been nice for Arsenal to sign Estevao, Chelsea have spent well over the odds to blow competition out of the water, and Mikel Arteta is not as desperate for such a profile in his squad with Bukayo Saka already at the Emirates Stadium.

The teenager is a left-footed winger who tends to line up on the right flank and cut inside.

Therefore, given the fact Saka himself is only 22 years of age, that position is seemingly nailed down for Arsenal for many, many years, meaning Estevao would have surely only been signed as competition for the England international.
