'Arsenal to sign Harry Kane over Alexander Isak' - 'Phenomenal' update

03/24/2025 04:30 PM
Mikel Arteta is in desperate need of Arsenal signing a big-name striker and has now been backed to go for Harry Kane over Alexander Isak.
The Gunners are likely set for a summer of change, with former Atletico Madrid chief Andrea Berta joining the Arsenal ranks, having helped the La Liga side recruit the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak.
Supporters at the Emirates Stadium were excited for their team to battle Arne Slot’s Liverpool for the Premier League, but with a 12-point gap currently separating the sides, that is an unlikely possibility.
Still fighting for the Champions League title is exactly why many expected the Gunners to go big during the winter transfer window, with Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus all sidelined.
With Arsenal long-linked with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, the Gunners should be serious ahead of the summer transfer window, but Darren Bent has backed his beloved club to snub the Swedish star for Kane’s future instead.
Mikel Arteta to bring Harry Kane to Arsenal this summer
Speaking live via talkSPORT [24 March, 5:12pm], host Andy Goldstein asked: “Does he [Kane] get into every single PL club apart from maybe Man City?”
Bent replied: “He gets into every team in world football,” as Goldstein says: “He’s never going to go to Arsenal. He’s not. Who would you rather have, Kane or Isak? On a three-year deal.”
But Bent pushed back: “Kane. Give me Kane. We are lauding Alexander Isak because he’s a phenomenal talent, but this is Kane’s record in the last few seasons in the PL – 30, 17, 23, 18, 17, 30, 29, 25. Isak’s on 19 right now. Harry Kane has done it for seasons.”

Football Insider verdict
Arteta is under growing pressure from Arsenal supporters, and unless the Gunners are able to lift silverware next season, it could be the Spaniard’s final season in North London.
The Spaniard’s only trophy lift came in 2020 after beating Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, and with the gunners in another five-year drought, even the most loyal of fans are running out of patience.
Next season is likely make-or-break for Arteta. The addition of Berta to the background staff should make an incredible difference this summer, especially if he can persuade Kane to drop his allegiances to Tottenham.
Having scored 279 goals in 428 appearances for the Lilywhites, there is absolutely no denying his unbelievable talent with the ball at his feet or how much he would improve the current squad.
Havertz and Jesus have shown positive signs in spurts, but if Kane were to join the Gunners ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, it would be difficult to rule them out of winning multiple titles.
