Valencia have officially asked Aston Villa to loan youngster Kosta Nedeljkovic, but Monchi is holding off making a decision on the matter as he decides who goes where.

That's according to AS and Marca, who both say the Aston Villa director of football has to choose which player, of several currently on the exit ramp, is given a loan move abroad.

AS report that Valencia have asked for information on Nedeljkovic and have been told by Aston Villa that they are assessing their options when it comes to the full back.

One is that Unai Emery does not allow a departure until he's signed a replacement, while another is that he doesn't move due to the quota on foreign loans imposed by the Premier League.

This is limited to six and as Aston Villa currently have Samuel Illing-Junior, Philippe Coutinho, Leander Dendoncker, Yeimar Mosquera and Enzo Barrenechea out on foreign loans, they can only sanction one more.

There are currently three players who have the option to go out on a 'foreign loan' and so Monchi and Emery have a decision to make on who that will be.

Marca say the same, reporting that while Valencia have made an official request to Aston Villa for Nedeljkovic until Monchi 'clarifies their map', no green light can be given.

It seems it's very much a mess of their own making and now both he and Emery need to work out who they value going where before they can properly respond to Valencia's offer for Nedeljkovic.
