Aston Villa recorded a 0-0 draw with Juventus in a controversial Champions League encounter at Villa Park on Wednesday night.
Villans forward Morgan Rogers saw a late goal disallowed after the video assistant referee spotted a foul on goalkeeper Michele di Gregorio.
In a game of few clear-cut chances, Villa’s Lucas Digne came closest to opening the scoring after his free-kick grazed the crossbar just before half-time.
Ollie Watkins also had a good chance to open the scoring in the 37th minute, but Di Gregorio kept out the England star’s first-time effort.
Villa’s winless run now stretches to seven games, with Emery’s side last securing a victory when they faced Bologna five weeks ago.
One positive for Villa came in the form of Boubacar Kamara’s impressive performance on his return to action for the claret-and-blue side.
Kamara has been on the sidelines for much of the season due to injury, and prior to the Juve game, he had only made seven appearances and one start.
The France international was fit to start against Juve and showed just how much Villa have missed him with a solid performance in midfield.
